Overview
The Sumec Firman SPG1800 is a small, recoil-start petrol generator rated at 1kVA (max 1.1kVA). It is designed as an entry-level backup unit where portability, simple operation and affordable running costs matter.
It uses a single-cylinder, 4-stroke air-cooled engine with a transistor controlled ignition and a 100% copper-wound alternator. The unit includes an oil warning indicator and built-in automatic voltage regulation to help protect appliances from large voltage swings.

How do I start it?
With the recoil (pull) starter. It is simple and has no battery to maintain; we show you the correct choke and start procedure on delivery.
Is it loud?
Open-frame portable generators are noticeably louder than soundproof sets. Place it outdoors, at least 5 metres from doors and windows, never inside the house or a closed garage.
